A Clear View of What’s Ahead

In the business world, the rearview mirror is always clearer than the windshield.

-Warren Buffett-

Holy Cosmic Cliches Batman!  Another quote that can describe business and life!

I think I’d say that in life the rearview mirror is always clearer than the windshield.  As they say, hindsight is always 20/20, and everyone’s a Monday morning quarterback.

So how do we clear things up?  How do we make the windshield a little more clear?

Learning from our past is always a good way.  But how often do we truly dissect the past to glean new learnings from it?  Learnings that we can apply to our present to have a clearer vision of the future and a better chance of success.

I’m not saying that we should live in the past but that we review our successes and failures and meditate on what went right and what went wrong.  A good way to keep track of our thoughts is to use a daily journal.

Your journal doesn’t have to be elaborate, but it should be consistent, it should be honest, and it should become a part of your life.

Simple enough right?  What do you have to lose?  Get in touch with yourself and make that windshield clear by writing in your very own journal.
