How Hungry Are You?

It’s Time to Jump.

There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.

-Buddha-

How hungry are you?  What’s going on in your life today?  What’s it going to take for you to begin to make those changes you’ve been rolling around in your head?

I know, those are a lot of questions to answer.

I was listening to Tony Robbins as a guest on the James Altucher Show when I heard Tony say this:

Some people will come looking for a change because they’re proactive and others are being reactive.  Kids are driving them crazy, lost a business, had a birthday with a zero on it, but the lukewarm people in the middle are not hungry, and I’ll never see those people, I’m looking for hungry people!

-I had to paraphrase Tony because I don’t have the exact quote here with me, but it’s close.-

Are you hungry?  Hungry for change that is.  Hungry to stop the cycle of craziness, loneliness, brokene$$?

Seth Godin uses the term – shipping.  He says that we all have great ideas and intentions, but we never ship, simply said we never start!  It’s the starting that’s key, even if it’s not a success, the act of starting helps us to begin again until we hit the jackpot that we seek.

I use the term jackpot loosely to mean reaching a goal that we’re after.

Let me tell you a little secret, life is all about seeking and growing, but you’ll never feel satisfied if you never start something, whatever it is – just start already!  You’ll feel so much empowerment by starting.  Who knows, you may decide that you don’t like the thing you’ve started and that’s okay!  It’s all about the journey, not the destination.  If what you start is a success the first time out of the gate so much the better.

Stop making promises to yourself already.  Make your plan, set the date, and start on that date.
